Born on 24^th October 1956, Justice Shri Dilip Babasaheb Bhosale obtained a Degree of Law from Government Law College, Mumbai. He also holds the Degrees of Doctor of Laws (Honoris Causa) from Uttar Pradesh Rajarshi Tandon Open University and Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University, Jaunur (U.P.). He was elevated as Judge of the Bombay High Court on 22^nd January 2001 at the age of 45. He served as Judge of the High Courts of Bombay and Karnataka and as Acting Chief Justice of the High Court of Judicature at Hyderabad for the States of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana for a period of 15 months (2015-2016). During this period he served as Chancellor of NALSAR, Hyderabad and DSNLU University, Visakhapatnam. He was then appointed as Chief Justice, High Court of Judicature at Allahabad (Uttar Pradesh) on 30^th July, 2016 and superannuated on 23^rd October 2018. He comes from the family of freedom fighters. He has been appointed as Hon'ble Judicial Member, Lokpal on 27^th March 2019.
