Born on 2^nd April, 1953. Dr Gautam did his Masters in 1976 and LL.B from Lucknow University in 1980. He has done Ph.D from CEPT University Ahmadabad. Dr.Gautam began his career with Indian Revenue Service as Assistant Commissioner of Income Tax and joined Indian Administrative Service in 1986. He served as SDM, Collector, Joint MD GIIC, Director (Finance) Narmada Project, MD Gujarat Power Corporation. Secretary to Govt. Energy/Ports, Municipal Commissioners of Rajkot & Ahmadabad, and worked as Principal Secretary to Government of Gujarat headed many key departments. He headed & implemented Nationally/Internationally famous Projects like BRTS, Kankaria Lake Front, Sabarmati River Front & Metro Rail Projects of Ahmadabad. He also served as Managing Director of Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. He has been appointed as Hon Non- Judicial Member of Lokpal on 27^th of March 2019.
